A Brief Bio
Magdalen Cheng is a UKCP-accredited counselling psychologist and founder of Singapore’s first ever existential practice.
“Beyond being an existential therapist, I am equally an Asian, Chinese, female, heterosexual, daughter, wife, mother, career woman, and academic. Each of these roles has contributed to my growth and shaped my understanding of the world. While these personal experiences granted my insights and perspectives that allow me to resonate with my clients’ lived experiences, my training in existential work enhances my ability to assist people in reflecting on their own journey and facilitate their search for meaning in life.”
Thank you. What a great conversation.

Seems your Singapore situation is more Facticity in which you must be authentic within such social constraints.

You value self-expression. Yet this social constraint blocks your way. Is it a cultural Facticity that can be hurdled or a social/institutional roadblock?

If you are alone will you not be true to yourself? If you do aim to be a true self you are attempting to be an authentic self.
