A Brief Bio
Dr Alison Strasser is a psychotherapist, coach, and supervisor. She has a passion for educating others, and founded the Centre for Existential Practice, Australia, in 2008. This was instrumental in bringing existential philosophies and existential psychotherapy training to Australia for the first time, and the curriculum has now been taught at many counselling and psychotherapy training institutes across Australia. Alisson’s doctorate focused on understanding the process of supervision more deeply, and this work led to her developing a framework for supervisor training, which is now a major component of CEP’s annual program. Alison co-authored Time-Limited Existential Therapy with her father, Freddie Strasser and she has recently published a revised edition.
